SGTBIMIT organized a Webinar on the topic “Blockchain ” in association with Oracle Academy dated October 13,2022. Its main aim was to inculcate the awareness of the rising demand, work involved and placement opportunities in the growing field of Blockchain. The Keynote Speaker for the event Mr. Sharath Babu Thirunagari is working as the Director, Product Development at Oracle India Pvt. Ltd. He is a highly experienced mentor in Insurance, Cloud, Digital Transformation. He is an ML Enthusiast and Cloud Certified (OCI Associate Architect, AWS Practitioner). The event was attended by 80+ students from the BCA department. The speaker emphasized on the market potentials in blockchain technology. A detailed history of the rise of crypto-currency and the underlying cryptographic techniques were discussed and elaborated. The webinar also enlightened the knowledge of students on the range of certifications and tools provided by the Oracle Academy to adopt blockchain technology including a cloud service , an on-premises edition and a SaaS application for supply chain. It was a thought-provoking and constructive session.
