“Speech is Power: Speech is to persuade to convert, to compel…” The GITHUB Cell of SGTBIMIT organized the Declamation Competition on the topic of “Social Media: Boon or Bane” on April 26, 2023. Today social media is an efficient means of connecting communities and individuals across the world but at the same time, social media is very addictive and can damage self-image. Around 15 students participated in the event and the time allotted to each participant was 3+1 minutes. All the students presented their viewpoints and perspective on the rising concern about using social media in daily life. The event was felicitated by our Director Ma’am, Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur, Assistant Director Sir, S. Verender Singh and HOD’s of all departments. All the winners and the participants were given prizes and certificates.
