SGTBIMIT organized a Seminar on “The Teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the oneness of all humanity” on April 25th, 2023. The national seminar was organized on the occasion of Prakash Purab of the 9th Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The event started with the blessings of the almighty with the recitation of Shabad by students of the Divinity Society of our Institute. S. Jaspreet Singh Karamsar was the Guest of Honour of the event. He is the Chairman of Dharam Prachar Committee, DSGMC. He emphasized the lessons that we all should learn from the life history of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. He talked about Guru Sahib who is known as Hind Di Chaddar' (Protector of India) for upholding the 'Right to Freedom of Religion'. He helped the Kashmiri Pundits to take stand against the Mughal pressure for conversion to Islam. He did not surrender to extreme tortures heaped upon him and his family by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb but endured them with a divine calmness. His transformation from Tyaga Mal to Tegh Bahadur is a story of ultimate religious firmness, propriety, morality and bravery with very few parallels in human history. He is remembered for propagating the message of universal brotherhood and religious freedom. Gurdwara Sis-Ganj was erected at Chandni Chowk Delhi where the Guru Sahib was beheaded. He focussed on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and talked about all the Sikh Gurus and all other contributors in the writing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The event was also graced by S. Sukhbir Singh Kalra Ji, Member DSGMC and Chairman Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, S. Jasmain Singh Noni Ji, Joint Secretary DSGMC, S. Amarjeet Singh Pinky Ji, Member DSGMC, S. Bhupinder Singh Ginny Ji,S. Rameet Singh Smarty Ji,S. Manjeet Singh Aulukh Ji. We are grateful to the management of our Institute for giving us the opportunity to conduct such an event to enlighten our students and staff members. We are grateful to S. MPS Chadha Ji, Honorable Chairman, S. Jasbir Singh Jassi Ji, Honorable Co-Chairman and S. Trilochan Singh Chitkara Ji and S. Inderjeet Singh Sabharwal, Vice-Chairmans of our Institute. We are also thankful to the Director of our Institute – Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur under whose guidance such events are conducted in our Institute. In the end our Assistant Director, S. Verender Singh gave the vote of thanks and motivated the young students to implement the basics of Sikhism in their day-to-day life.
