Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and IT organized a National Conference on June 4, 2021 on the topic “Impact of Pandemic on different sectors.”

The disruption from the Covid-19 pandemic has been unparalleled in our lifetime. The loss of lives and livelihood has made a huge dent to the whole world and particularly, the marginalized, migrants, and micro and mini enterprises. Being uncertain about the shape of economic and recovery – U or L shape, our hands are crossed against a vaccine. The generations will learn from the history and production of original literature about this pandemic is a noble duty of academicians. The philosophy of history of events will make new history and design a new destiny - to make or mar ourselves. This event is legendary for its innovative and focused contents. A diverse range of essential topics were examined, including impact of Covid-19 on Agriculture, tourism, hospitality and various other organized , unorganized sectors and other researches .

The Convenor of the National Conference Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur, Director SGTBIMIT, introduced the topic, she highlighted the problems being faced by the Indian economy in the present scenario. She also discussed the hardships being faced by various sectors of the Indian economy such as increasing unemployment, poverty, NPA of banks and decreasing GDP growth rate due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Dr. Himendu P. Mathur, presently, Allahabad Bank Chair Professor at FMS, BHU and Dr. Gagandeep Sharma, renowned Professor from USMS, GGSIPU were the Guest of Honor and Mr. Fredricks John, Director, Executive Vice President and Site Head at Personiv graced the event as the keynote speaker. The conference was attended by eminent academicians, faculty members and students from reputed technical and educational institutions from different parts of the country and representatives from the industry. Around 100 papers were received from different universities.
